Summer Program

The Julia Brown Schools understand that most families in today’s world must work year round and need dependable care for their children.  This is one of the many reasons we remain open year-round.  Our summer programs are carefully planned to be fun, educational and safe. Our students continue to spend the summer with their friends and with staff who know them.  They remain in a comfortable, peaceful, and familiar environment.  The school uniform is not required during our Summer Program.

Summer Enrollment

If your child will be joining JBS this fall, our summer program is an excellent way to introduce your child to his/her new school.  Summer is a great time to make friends and adjust to a new school prior to classes beginning.  Please contact the office if you are interested in enrolling in our summer program.

Each current full-day student is automatically enrolled in our summer program, as this program is a 12-month program (Sept-Aug).

If your child attends JBS for just our Montessori class portion of the day and you are interested in our summer program, please contact the office.  We would love to have your child stay with us this summer!

We do not accept children into our Summer Program that are not JBS students.  Spaces in our summer program are reserved for our current and incoming students.  These spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Summer Montessori Class

In July, we offer Montessori classes to our Primary and Kindergarten students.  As the summer leaves a large gap between the ending of one school year and beginning of the next, the children thrive in an environment where they are able to utilize the materials familiar to them and continue to internalize the information presented to them during the school year.  The summer Montessori classes give the opportunity for continuity in the children’s practice of lessons as well as the opportunity for our new students to familiarize themselves with the Montessori classroom, which in turn provides everyone with a smoother transition into the beginning of the new school year.
